Best Western Plus Åby Hotel is in Mölndal, just outside Gothenburg, beside Åbytravet. Its rooms use rounded furniture, lamps and colourful illustrations, and most are double rooms for one or two guests. Connecting doors let the hotel arrange rooms for as many as five people. Curved furniture and rounded lamps carry the fairground-style look through the rooms and shared spaces.

At reception, guests can order a drink at the bar. The lobby has activity games, billiards and party games for families. Åbytravet is next door, with a restaurant and orangery. The same building has 17 conference rooms and a Friskis & Svettis gym; hotel guests get gym access included.

Mölndal's inner city is a short walk away, with cafes and restaurants around the square. Gothenburg is easy to reach for visits to Liseberg amusement park, Universeum's rainforest, the older district of Haga or the archipelago. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00.
