Högbo Canoe-Arena offers about 70 kilometres of canoe routes through lakes and rivers. The rental season runs from 16 April until ice forms; nature trails are open all year. Contact hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Sunday.

Short trips start at Sportcentralen and follow calm Dammsjön and Högboån before reaching Lake Öjaren, with uninhabited shores and islands. Jädraån has smaller rapids, while some Testeboån routes offer river paddling. There are around ten routes of different lengths and difficulty levels, from options for beginners to more demanding outings.

Rentals include Canadian canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and larger canoes, as well as sea kayaks for one or two people and multisport or exercise kayaks. A map with rest stops and practical information comes with each canoe rental. Along the routes, rest areas have places to stop and make a fire, and some have shelters or cleared tent sites. Check the right-to-roam rules and any fire bans before camping or lighting a fire. Some routes run beyond Högbo Bruk’s land and are maintained by other landowners.

Canoes can be transported to a route’s starting point, or back after a one-way trip; contact the rental service about booking and prices. Equipment can be booked outside Sportcentralen’s opening hours by contacting the venue. Because of crayfish plague in Lundbosjön, canoes and paddles must be cleaned with T-sprit before launching in Öjaren. Staff give instructions when you rent.
