Iggesund’s industrial memory is an ironworks museum with displays on iron production, forestry and sawmills. The ironworks display includes a roasting furnace, blast furnace, Bessemer equipment and a Lancashire forge. Visitors can see an exhibit on handling iron and a documentary of the ironworks while it was running. A separate display covers the history of forestry and sawmills.

The museum is among three preserved industrial sites managed by the Hudiksvalls Bruksminnen foundation. The sites include Iggesund Ironworks, Moviken’s blast furnace and Strömbacka’s bar-iron forge. The foundation says its work supports research and tourism, and shows the development of forest-based industry in Hudiksvall municipality. It lists several guides, and identifies Ove Helsén as the contact for arranging tours.

The venue says it is closed for the season. Its listed regular opening hours are Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm. During the off-season, visitors can book a guided tour by contacting Ove Helsén on +46 70 201 26 08.
