The Birgit Nilsson Prize goes this year to the opera festival Festival d'Aix-en-Provence whose artistic leader Pierre Audi suddenly passed away before he could receive it. He was a great visionary and we have much to thank him for, says the festival's artistic advisor Timothée Picard.
