Swedish Supreme Court Sets New Guidelines for Sentencing Young Offenders

The 16-year-old shot and killed a man and attempted to murder two more people in Solna in the spring of 2023 – now he is sentenced to eight years and ten months in prison by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court thus establishes that young people can be sentenced to longer prison terms for very serious crimes.
