Myhlback's response: "More appealing to ski long distances"
Sweden is reigning again in Vasaloppet after Alvar Myhlback's and Stina Nilsson's victories. Afterwards, the Swedish Ski Association received a bitter message from Myhlback: Clearly, it's more appealing to ski long distances now.
Byström's response: "I have believed in Alvar all the time"
Alvar Myhlback's victory in Vasaloppet proves that the national team made a mistake when they dropped the 18-year-old from the Junior World Championship, says SVT's cross-country skiing expert Anders Blomquist. The national team manager Anders Byström's response: I don't really know what he means.
"A Copy-Paste of What Happened to Gunde Svan"
Skiing talent Alvar Myhlback, 18, is going his own way and was not selected for the Junior World Championship. The snub is upsetting Keith Karlsson, who has been an agent for several sports stars who have succeeded thanks to their own paths to success: The fact that Alvar Myhlback is not listening to the association is a sign of freshness, says Karlsson.
The answer to Myhlback: "Must have a result"
Alvar Myhlback, 18, won double Junior World Championship gold last year. But this year, it looks like he won't be selected.
