ECB top official signals interest rate hike as war in Iran pushes up energy and transportation costs

The effects of the war in Iran on inflation, via sharp increases in energy prices and transportation costs, may force the European Central Bank (ECB) to raise its key interest rate faster than expected, according to Peter Kazimir, a Slovak member of the ECB's executive board.
