Furious at the elevator ruling, Swedish Construction Federation calls Solna District Court verdict a scandal
Five people died in 2023 when an elevator collapsed in Sundbyberg, in what has been called the worst workplace accident in modern times. On Wednesday, Solna District Court acquitted all those charged in connection with the accident. “Five people died but no one is responsible? It is nothing short of a scandal,” said Kim Söderström, chairman of the Swedish Construction Federation, in a press release.
