US State Department to Cut 15% of Staff, Close 100 Offices

The personnel strength at the US Department of State is to be reduced by 15 percent and over 100 offices are to be closed, according to a downsizing plan. Foreign Minister Marco Rubio states that it is about a change of course from "decades of excess and bureaucracy".
