Governor after the notice: "No green bubble"
The crisis-stricken battery manufacturer Northvolt is laying off 1,000 people in Skellefteå. However, the municipality and region hope that they will stay and seek new jobs in Västerbotten. Skellefteå's industrial uplift and the green transition are much, much larger than Northvolt, says municipal director Kristina Sundin Jonsson.
