So much can housing prices rise
Coming interest rate cuts can make housing prices rise by up to ten percent by next summer, believes housing researcher Han-Suck Song at KTH. The real estate industry also believes in a clear increase, but not until next year.
Interest Rate Decision Can Boost the Housing Market
The Swedish Central Bank's signals that there may be three interest rate cuts this year will lead to more housing transactions, experts predict. However, one should not believe in any significant price increase, says SBAB's chief economist Robert Boije.
Estate Agents: Price Increase Has Stalled
The majority of estate agents believe in stagnant house prices for the rest of 2024, according to Fastighetsbyråns Estate Agent Panel. The supply is still record-high and activity is relatively low, says Fastighetsbyråns CEO Johan Engström.
