EU Faces Tough Talks on Baltic Sea Herring Quotas

The stock of herring in the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia is heavily fished. When the EU countries are to agree on the fishing quotas for next year, the Swedish government and the EU Commission are the herring's only friends, according to Minister for Rural Affairs Peter Kullgren (Christian Democrats)
