Pursuit of suspected impaired driver.
A passerby sees a car that has driven into a ditch on regional road 858 in Huddunge outside Heby. The informant suspects that the driver is under the influence of something and therefore calls the police.
During the conversation with the police, the vehicle gets back onto the road and starts rolling from the scene. The informant chooses to follow and can point out the direction for a police patrol that initiates a stop attempt. The driver, however, refuses to stop and a pursuit begins that goes via Heby to Sala where the car can be stopped with the help of a spike mat.
In connection with the stop, the car backs into a police car. However, no person is injured in connection with this.
The driver, a man in his mid-30s, is suspected of driving under the influence, alternatively gross driving under the influence, gross negligence in traffic, attempt to violence against a public official and not stopping at a police officer's signal. The police also confiscated the man's driver's license.
