16:30 an alarm SOS to the police regarding a train accident in the vicinity of Högbyn in Fagersta municipality.

The alarm concerns a person being struck by a freight train. No passengers are believed to have been on board the train.

A person has been found alive and is being taken by ambulance for further care, unclear extent of injury. The person was then awake and able to speak.

At the work on the site, the police requested a traffic stop so that personnel could work in a safe manner in the rail environment.

The police-ordered traffic stop between Skinnskatteberg and Fagersta was lifted at 18:01.

The police suspect no crime in connection with the incident.
