The police have handled several cases of suspected attempted fraud during the day.
In Linköping, Norrköping, Eskilstuna, Jönköping and Trosa, people have been called from a blocked number. In some cases, the caller has said they are from the police, in some cases it is claimed that it is an automatic voice speaking. Common to these cases is that the caller claims that the people are involved in a money laundering crime – either because the person's ID appears in the investigation, or because the person is wanted with an arrest warrant.
The police want to warn of attempted scams in connection with this.
It is not uncommon for scammers to pose as coming from the police, or other authorities.
The police will never call you in this way and ask you to identify yourself or click on links.
Be cautious when receiving calls you do not recognize.
Never log in via Bank-ID on the urging of someone else, and never give anyone else access to your card details.
