18:49 the police are reached by an SOS alarm regarding a villa fire at Zederslund in Motala. Quite soon information arrives that it is a fully developed fire that has broken out in a villa. A larger area has been cordoned off in order for rescue personnel to be able to work properly at the scene. A person has been found in the current building. The damage situation is very serious. At present it is unclear what caused the fire to start. The police will investigate what happened, but are currently working primarily to assist other blue light personnel who are working at the scene. 

Update 20:35: The work at the scene will likely continue for most of the night. The police are still present with several units. The public and residents in the area are advised to go indoors and close doors and windows.
