Under the afternoon, police and an ambulance were alerted to a residence outside Vadstena due to a suspected heart attack.

When the police arrive at the scene, a deceased person is found. The circumstances on the scene are unclear and there are signs that suggest a crime. Therefore, a preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated.

The crime scene has been cordoned off for forensic examination. A person who was in the same residence as the deceased has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Next of kin have been informed of the death.

Police technicians are now working at the scene and have also conducted door-to-door questioning in the area.

Update 18:05: The suspect was arrested in the afternoon and the case is now being led by a prosecutor.
