A driver refused to stop at the police officer's signal on Björkevägen and instead chose to drive away from the scene at high speed, at a maximum of 200 km/h. A pursuit was initiated and after approximately five minutes, the car that had driven away from the scene left the road, and the driver was arrested suspected of gross drunk driving, gross negligence in traffic, gross unauthorized driving, and minor narcotics offense.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken for a body search but was later released on bail.
