Police are dispatched to the Town Hall Square in Gävle following a fight between two people.

When a patrol arrives at the scene, two men believed to have been involved in the fight are found. One person has, among other things, injuries to the face; the extent of the injuries is otherwise unclear. Information emerges at the scene that some kind of weapon may have been used.

One person, a man in his 40s, is arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. The man is now in custody, and the case is being led by a prosecutor.
