Police are dispatched to the intersection of Pilgatan and Södra ringvägen in Västerås following a traffic accident involving a passenger car and an electric scooter.

The electric scooter rider is taken by ambulance to hospital for a check-up. The person was conscious and able to speak at the time; the extent of their injuries is otherwise unclear.

The police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, but at this time no one has been notified that they are suspected of a crime.
