October 17, 07.26, Summary of the night, Norrbotten County

Here follow a selection of the night's events:

00.17 Traffic Control, Kiruna:
At a traffic control on E10 in Kiruna, three drivers are given a fine for speeding.

00.28 Traffic Control, Piteå:
All individuals checked at a traffic control on E4, Norrfjärden, are without comment.

01.14 Unlawful Driving, Luleå:
At a stop and control of a car on Skutvikens industrial area, it appears that the driver does not have the authority to drive a car. A report regarding unlawful driving is drawn up.

03.20 Fire, Luleå:
A passing driver reports a fire in a building on Hertsön. It is said to be burning on the facade of a mosque.

Police are ordered to the scene to assist the rescue service. The rescue service extinguishes the fire.

There are no reports of anyone being injured in connection with the fire.

Suspicion arises that the fire was set and the location is cordoned off for technical investigation.

The incident is being investigated as a murder by arson. There is no suspect in the case.

03.58 Wildlife Accident, Luleå:
Police receive a report of an accident involving a car and a deer on Örnäset. No personal injuries are reported. The deer died in connection with the accident and a hunting guide is called out to take care of it.

05.44 Traffic Control, Boden:
Everyone checked at a traffic control on Torpgärdets western industrial area is without comment.

06.59 Wildlife Accident, Luleå:
Police receive a report of an accident involving a car and a deer on Björkskataleden, Porsön. No personal injuries are reported. The deer was injured in connection with the accident and a hunting guide is called out.

Police have also carried out checks of individuals and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.
