Police carry out an identity check on a man in Karlstad during the afternoon. The man, who is in his thirties, acts nervously, and other indications lead the officers to search him on suspicion of a drug offence. 
During the search, drugs are found and seized.

As part of further investigative measures, a woman in the same age group is checked. Both people are suspected of drug offences and are arrested.

After compiling the investigative findings gathered so far, the police will contact a prosecutor to consider whether to detain them further, in the form of remand in custody, or instead decide to release them while the investigation continues.
