During the evening, a police patrol stopped a motorist in Borlänge Municipality. The driver, a man in his 40s, showed signs of being under the influence of drugs and did not have a driving licence to drive a car.
Approval was obtained to conduct a body examination using urine and blood samples. 
Police also searched the vehicle and found an item that constitutes an offence under the Knife Act.

Analysis of the samples will determine whether the man had any illegal substance in his body and whether suspicions remain regarding driving under the influence of drugs and drug offences involving personal use. Additional suspicions concern aggravated unlawful driving and an aggravated offence under the Knife Act.
