Investigations were initiated immediately in the form of digital tracking since it was not possible to establish any starting point for the disappearance. Checks were also made with healthcare facilities in order to rule out that the woman was there.

On the night of Monday, the missing woman was found dead on an island in central Karlstad. Since it cannot be completely ruled out that a crime has been committed, an investigation into murder has been initiated. Relatives have been informed. The location is cordoned off and a technical investigation is still ongoing at the location. Further interviews with relatives and acquaintances will be conducted.
