Aggressive and violent man arrested
After 23:00, police are alerted about an aggressive man at an address in central Norrköping. According to early reports, the man pushed one person and hit another. He also allegedly uttered threats against other people in the apartment and had a weapon on him. Patrol arrives and calms the situation. The man, aged 65, is then arrested on suspicion of assault, attempted grievous bodily harm, and illegal threats. The case is now being led by a prosecutor.
Multiple cars on fire in Linköping
Just before 01:00, police are alerted about a car fire with open flames in Ryd. According to the alarm, there is also a risk of spreading to other vehicles. When police arrive at the scene, it is found that five more cars have been damaged by the fire. Patrol files a report on vandalism through arson.
Alarm about man with weapon
Around 06:30, an alarm is received from a gas station at Gamla Övägen in central Norrköping. According to the alarm, a man on the scene showed a weapon-like object. Police respond with multiple units and soon have control over the suspected man. After further investigation, it appears that the object was not a sharp weapon. No one has also suffered physical harm. The legal situation is currently attempted robbery. The man, aged 25, has been arrested.
