October 12, 07.30, Summary of the night, Norrbotten County

Between 00:00 and 07:00, 10 people were taken into custody for drunkenness, one of whom is suspected of assault on a public official (against a security guard) and three of whom have been handed over to their parents. One person has been allowed to accompany them for a blood test after suspicion of a narcotics offense. The police have also handled reports of assault as well as checked people and vehicles that did not result in any suspicion of a crime.

In Kiruna, drivers were checked in the city center during the night. Fines were issued, among other things, due to unnecessary and disturbing driving near residential areas as well as provocative behavior by making noise on a public place by playing music. 

Even in Luleå, there were reports of high music being played from vehicles in the Inner City. Two drivers were fined due to provocative behavior by making noise on a public place by playing music.

A man was also arrested during the night in Älvsbyn, suspected of rape. The incident is said to have occurred indoors. During the morning, the prosecutor has made a decision to detain the man. (No further information will be provided at this time).

The police are supposed to stop a driver for a check and a short pursuit begins. Shortly thereafter, people are seen getting out of the car. The police get a stop on one of them, a minor under 18 years old who is suspected of having driven the car. He is allowed to accompany them for a blood test as there is suspicion of drunk driving. He is then handed over to the custodians.

A report will be made regarding, among other things, unauthorized driving and drunk driving.
