Police regional command center has handled around 40 cases related to Södermanland County between 22:00-07:00.

22:21 Police were called to a residence in Gnesta due to a disturbance and screams inside. When police arrived at the scene, a 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. The victim, a 45-year-old woman, did not require ambulance care. The woman and man are acquainted with each other.

22:55 SOS alarm about a car fire on Johannedalsvägen in Eskilstuna. Police have been on the scene and it appears to have been a faulty fuel injector causing the fire due to overheating. No suspicion of criminal activity.

23:52 During a routine vehicle and driver control on Lenningsvägen in Nyköping, suspicion of drunk driving arose against the driver. The 20-year-old man was taken in for further testing and questioning.

In addition to this, the police have handled cases involving wildlife accidents, traffic controls, traffic offenses, and various other checks on their own initiative or following public reports that did not lead to anything serious.

No serious violent crimes have come to the police's knowledge.
