November 7, 08.00, Summary of the night, Södermanland County

The police's regional command center has handled around 70 incidents during the night between 22.00 and 07.00 in Södermanland County.

Here follows a selection of the night's cases.  

22.07, fraud, Katrineholm: A woman in her 70s is believed to have been a victim of fraud. The woman was contacted by a person who said her account had been hacked, and she was then connected to a "bank". The woman then spoke with what she thought was the bank and logged in with her bank ID at the person's urging. The perpetrators then transferred money from the woman's account. The woman is believed to have lost 400,000 kronor. A patrol was on the scene and conducted an interview with the woman and filed a report on the fraud. At present, there is no suspected perpetrator.

05.52, theft: At 05.52, it was discovered that someone or several people had entered a garage in Högbrunn in Nyköping and taken two electric bicycles. How the break-in occurred is unclear. A patrol was on the scene and filed a report on the break-in. 
04.25, vandalism: Police were alerted that a person at a school in Sandbäcken in Katrineholm seemed to be destroying something at the school. A patrol found a man in his 30s at the scene, who is suspected of having smashed a window at the school. The patrol searched the school area and did not find any other people there or discover any other crimes. The man was apprehended by the police, suspected of vandalism, as well as a knife law offense.
