Person arrested on suspicion of aggravated weapons offence.
The police are contacted by members of the public who have noticed a masked person behaving unusually in the Hammarby area of Västerås.
When a patrol arrives at the scene, the man leaves the area on an electric scooter. A while later, the electric scooter is found abandoned and a patrol with a dog begins tracking. During the tracking, an object resembling a weapon is found.
The patrol then manages to locate the person, who is arrested. In connection with the arrest, the suspect is bitten on the leg by a police dog and is taken to hospital for treatment. The man is then taken in for questioning.
The object resembling a weapon and the electric scooter are seized. A report of aggravated weapons offence is filed.
