Staff at a hotel in Norrköping were alerted by a guest to a seemingly lifeless woman in her 25s. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and began life-saving measures. Police were also ordered to the scene as there were certain unclear circumstances that needed to be checked.

The woman's life could not be saved. The police officers established that investigative measures were necessary. The duty officer then decided to open a preliminary investigation into murder.

There was another person at the scene, a man in his 25s. He had been in the woman's company and was arrested for further investigation and later detained during the evening

A forensic examination was initiated. Interviews with hotel staff and emergency personnel were conducted to gather information about the incident. This was to determine whether it was a medical condition or a crime subject to public prosecution. In connection with this, certain areas were cordoned off and police forensic technicians examined the scene. Relatives have been informed.
