Several attempted frauds.
Several calls have been received by the police about elderly women in Uppsala County being targeted in attempted frauds. The fraudsters have said they are from Securitas and asked the victims about valuables.
In total, the police were alerted to six attempted frauds with a similar modus operandi during the early afternoon. All the victims are women over 80.
The police would like to remind people not to disclose their BankID or other sensitive codes or information, and not to gather up and hand over valuables at the request of strangers.
The police would also like to urge relatives to talk to their elderly family members and friends to prevent fraud.
