A person calls about a lynx that has been hit just before the E4 exit near Södertälje. The dead lynx is being handled according to routine.
The dead lynx is being transported by the police to the Swedish Museum of Natural History according to routine.
Around 10-15 lynxes are killed in accidents in Stockholm County each year.
The person who hit the lynx is currently unknown, and a report of an offence against the Hunting Act will therefore be filed, as anyone who hits, for example, a lynx or a moose while driving must call 112.
