Police received reports from several locations in eastern Greater Stockholm about a powerful explosion that has been found to come from Saltsjöbaden, where something has exploded and damaged a parked car.

The explosion occurred in a residential area on Neglingeön, but no personal injuries have occurred and, at present, no damage to buildings is known.

The police are launching an investigation into public destruction. Door-to-door work is underway in the area and the site will be examined by the national bomb protection (NBS).
