The suspect is accused of theft.

A free police officer apprehended a man suspected of stealing from a store in central Västerås. A police patrol on duty rushed to the scene, on Hamngatan, and took over the detention.

The suspected man was then released on bail but was removed from the city center. A report on theft is filed.
