Here follow a selection of the night's events:

22.24 Wildlife Accident, Piteå:
Accident with a truck and two reindeer on road 373, Högbacken. No personal injuries reported. One reindeer died and one was injured in connection with the accident, the affected Sami community has been informed.

22.26 Wildlife Accident, Luleå:
Accident with a car and a roe deer on Hertsövägen, Örnäset. No personal injuries reported. It is unclear what happened to the roe deer and a tracker is called out.

23.06 Wildlife Accident, Arvidsjaur:
Accident with a smaller truck and a reindeer on E45 just south of Rönnberget. No personal injuries reported. It is unclear what happened to the reindeer. The affected Sami community has been informed.

00.08 Wildlife Accident, Haparanda:
Accident with a truck and two reindeer on E4, west of Harrioja. No personal injuries reported. The reindeer died in connection with the accident and the affected Sami community has been informed.

Other:
Police have handled a case during the night where a man in a residence in Boden municipality is suspected of assaulting and threatening a woman he has a relationship with. Prosecutors have made a decision to have the man, who is in his 55s, arrested. Police are working with initial investigative measures in the case.

Police have also performed checks on people and vehicles during the night that did not result in any suspicion of a crime.
