Immediately after 07:30, police were alerted that someone had been injured by a sharp object outdoors in Nyfors, Eskilstuna. This is said to have occurred in connection with a fight at the scene.

Police arrived shortly after this with several units to the area to investigate what had happened.

A woman has been found injured. She has since been taken care of by ambulance personnel and been taken to the hospital. The extent of the injured person's injuries is currently unknown.

Shortly after police began their work in the area, a suspected woman is apprehended as a result of what happened.

It will now be conducted interviews with those involved and gather information about what happened from any potential witnesses.

The incident is currently classified as an attempted murder.
