An elderly man suddenly fell ill and was picked up by an ambulance in central Bollnäs on Saturday.

Left in minus degrees was his dog that sat tied up outside a shop.

Since no one else had the opportunity to take care of the dog it had to follow a police patrol and warm up at the police station in Bollnäs.

Later on Saturday evening the owner felt better and the dog could be reunited with its family.
