The match between Gais and AIK at Gamla Ullevi has ended. It was able to take place without any major disturbances.

Shortly before the match started, a number of supporters masked themselves in the away section under a so-called overhead banner. Supporters then threw pyrotechnics down onto the lower stand, which was empty. A small fire broke out in the grass, but was extinguished by security staff on site. Towards the end of the second half, there was an isolated incident of flare burning. The police have maintained an ongoing dialogue with the organiser, who took a series of measures to promote safety and maintain order during the match.

In connection with the match, the police have filed reports concerning, among other things, offences under the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, the prohibition on masking, drug offences and aiding and abetting an offence under the Public Order Act.

The police’s priority is for sporting events to be safe and secure for everyone who takes part in or attends them.
