Several thefts from containers.
Over the past two weeks, the police have received several reports of tools being stolen from containers at various construction sites in the county.
There have been nine reports from Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, Vingåker, Strängnäs and Mariefred. The thieves are determined and have managed to get into the containers, even though in some cases attempts have been made to prevent this by parking machinery or placing heavy objects outside.
It is likely that these thefts are part of an organised operation.
Crime scene investigations have been carried out and some traces have been secured, but at present there are no suspected perpetrators.

The police would also like to ask the public for help in putting a stop to this. If you see anything suspicious at a construction site on the weekend or after working hours, call 112.
