Since midnight, the police in the Stockholm region have received calls concerning 43 intoxication cases.
A weekend after payday usually sees somewhat more intoxication cases than a weekday. However, this weekend can be considered to have had somewhat more cases of intoxication than a regular payday weekend.
In all 43 cases where 112 was called about intoxication, no special police intervention was made, but in around 15 cases people were taken into care to sober up because they were not considered able to take care of themselves.
Examples:
A man was lying outside a restaurant near S:t Eriksplan. The man was taken to a healthcare facility to sober up.
An unconscious woman was found near a restaurant in Norrmalm and was taken to a healthcare facility to sober up.
