The police regional command centre handled around 120 cases concerning Östergötland County between 22:00 and 07:00.
21:12 Police were called to a residence in Vasastaden, Linköping, after a man in his 20s was reportedly injured with a sharp object in an apartment. When police arrived at the scene, another man in his 25s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and minor drug offences for personal use. The two men know each other. The injured party is not believed to have life-threatening injuries. During the night, the suspect was remanded in custody by a prosecutor, on probable cause, on suspicion of attempted murder. The case is therefore being led by a prosecutor.
01:13 Police were called to a property in Vilbergen, Norrköping, after a caller heard glass breaking. A stone was reportedly thrown and a window was reportedly broken. When police arrived at the scene, a man in his 20s was found. He was taken into police custody and a report of criminal damage will be filed.
In addition, police dealt with cases involving traffic offences, drink-driving, intoxication, mental health issues, traffic checks and various other checks conducted on their own initiative or following calls from members of the public, none of which led to anything serious.
