Two men forced their way into an elderly woman's home in central Kumla under the pretense that they were some kind of craftsmen.

Homework personnel contacted the police after visiting a resident, a 95-year-old woman, and then met two men who rushed out of the apartment and fled the scene. This occurred sometime between 12:00 and 12:25. They had entered a room where the woman did not know what the men were doing, but they were clearly scared off by the home care personnel when they arrived.

After receiving a description of the men, a search was initiated for them. Shortly after 1:13, a police patrol found two men, at another location in central Kumla, who matched the description.

At the same time, another patrol had driven to the crime scene for forensic investigation and questioning. They were able to determine that the perpetrators likely did not have time to steal anything, as the victim could not see that anything was missing from the apartment.

The men were not arrested but were identified and are now suspected of attempted gross theft. They are both in their late 30s.
