Man in his 25-year-old age group apprehended suspected of meat theft in a food store in central Örebro on Thursday afternoon.
The man was observed by a store employee (witness) in the store when he seemed stressed and left the store through the entrance gates and not via the checkout lane. He took advantage of when another customer entered and the gate opened.
The witness followed the man, at the same time as he called a security guard to get help, since he understood that the man had left the store with stolen goods.
Together with the security guard, they apprehended the man a few hundred meters from the store. He then had a larger quantity of packaged meat products with the store's marking inside his jacket. The total sales value of the meat products is 2656kr. Everything was returned to the store.
The police were called to the scene and took over the apprehension. After questioning the suspect, he was arrested at the decision of the prosecutor.
