Protection of frogs led to many fines for disorderly conduct.
The night before Wednesday, a number of fines were distributed for traffic ordinance violations on a road stretch in the Eriksberg district.
The road stretch is closed between 21:00 and 01:00 to protect protected frogs that are wandering over the road to play in the dams in Ekebydalen.
Residents in the area have pointed out shortcomings in the observance of the through-route ban and this was the second time the police carried out a check on the site.
At the end of April, a couple of dozen fines were distributed at the same stretch.
The road stretch is closed until May 8, according to Uppsala municipality's decision.
