Chaufförerna are employed by a foreign company and the vehicles, larger trucks with trailers, transport goods in Sweden. Certain rules apply. For example, a foreign transport company is allowed to perform a limited amount of domestic transportation in another EU country. If a company breaks the rules, as in this case, it is about illegal cabotage.

During the inspection, it also appears that the posting of workers document is missing and the vehicles lack tachographs.

In this case, fines totaling 280,000 kronor are issued, which the company pays. (The fine must be paid, otherwise the vehicles will be seized until the fine is paid). The drivers also receive fines of 4,000 kronor each because they lack tachographs in the vehicles and the transport is commercial.

The same company was also stopped on Friday for inspection. At that time, the same measures were taken and the same fines and penalties were issued.
