There is a fire in a building in Råslätt in Jönköping. There is some risk of spread to another building. The fire department is working on the site. Be careful to close windows and doors and as much as possible avoid breathing in smoke.

Update 22:21- It is a severe fire in a smaller building on an inner courtyard. Police and fire department are working fully on the site. The public is urged to keep a distance and give free passage to rescue vehicles traveling to and from the site. 

22:23 - The fire in the smaller house on the courtyard has been extinguished. Police are on site and assisting the fire department.
The police want to urge the public not to stay on the site due to smoke, and so that blue light personnel can work undisturbed.

22:38 - The fire started on the inner courtyard of a school. It is currently not known how the fire started. No person has been injured in connection with the event. Currently, there are no indications that the fire has spread to other buildings. 

22:45 - The police are starting an investigation into arson as there is no natural explanation for how the fire occurred. The fire site will be cordoned off. 

22:55 - The police are currently working on gathering information to collect any observations or witness statements regarding the event.

Anyone who has seen or heard anything unusual in connection with the event, or before or after the event, is urged to contact the police on 11414. In an emergency, always call 112. 

The crime classification is arson. There is no person injured in connection with the fire. The classification of arson includes the risk of major economic losses. 
No person has yet been arrested as a suspect. 

The cordons around the fire site remain in place at present.
