An 80-year-old man has handed over gold to a scammer who made a home visit and said he worked for a security company. 
Scammers have paved the way for the visit by scaring the elderly man with an SMS about a rental car that must be returned. The elderly man had not rented a car and when he called back to explain this, he was persuaded to receive a home visit. 

The value of the stolen goods is unknown and the police are currently working, among other things, with tracing. 

Never leave over gold to people who make home visits!

Always assume that phone numbers stated in unexpected and alarming SMS are false. If you want to check alarming information, you must find out the phone number yourself.
