A couple in their 80s has been targeted by a scam. The couple received an SMS from someone claiming to represent a furniture company. They called the number listed in the SMS and were subsequently persuaded to hand over a large sum of money.

One person has also visited the couple's home and taken jewelry and valuable items of unknown value.

The police are on their way to the victims' home.
