Over the past few weeks, the police have received a large number of reports of stolen rearview mirrors. Already before the weekend, there were over 50 cases and more have been added during the weekend. In all cases, it is rearview mirrors from BMW cars that have been stolen. 
Thieves have occurred at several different locations in the police region but Täby and Danderyd have been extra exposed.

Among other things, with the help of the images that have come in from surveillance cameras, four suspected perpetrators have been identified and after a surveillance operation, all four were arrested in the evening at a location in Sigtuna municipality. At the time of the arrest, some stolen goods were also secured. 
They are all around 30 years old and they are now suspected of serious theft.

Despite the arrest, the police's request remains to have people in the affected areas review their surveillance cameras as it is important for the continued investigation.
