The woman is taken to hospital by ambulance and is currently not considered to be seriously injured. The location where the woman was found is cordoned off for technical examination. 

Police have been working to find out more about what happened - including by knocking on doors in the area, investigating any possible cameras and searching for tracks with a dog.

A preliminary investigation into an attempted murder is currently underway.
